Another day in the life, and another haircut. Also, sad anti-bodies.

T’was another day in the life of Mai, and she got another haircut. Yeah. Another haircut. Again.

Funny thing about me is that whenever I get my hair trimmed, I always tell the stylist to decide what looks good on me. For the record, I don’t have my own suki. I always go to a different David’s branch when I decide to get my hair done. It’s like opening a German uberrasschung (sp?) egg. You’ll never know what you’ll get (no, it’s nothing like the "box of chocolates" shite in Forrest Gump. You always know that you’re going to get chocolate in a box of chocolates. Otherwise, you can always shout the candy shop owner’s head off if you got an unsatisfactory product).

Incidentally, the Haircut of the Month this time is the type that, if brushed up in a certain way and held with a touch of gel, is the type that makes me drool when used by guys. Yep, I have shorter hair now.

Of course, small talks come with having your hair cut by an unfamiliar hairdresser. Small talks are usually about your hair (what else) but this time, with the help of another client, the small talk gained a weird twist (thus transcibed here as faithful to the actual conversation as possible)

Woman: Ay, may immunojeejeebee* pala sina Sharon at Dawn, kaya pala sila nagkakaroon ng miscarriage.

Hairdresser: Ay naku. Anu yan?

W: Yung anti-bodies mo, sobrang lakas, pati fetus iniisip nila na foreign body kaya pinapatay nila rin yun.

Me: Nalilito pala ang antibodies.

HD: Ay. Paano kaya pinapagamot yun? Confused pala sila.

Me: (not giving the woman to answer) Siguro binibigyan ng psychoanalysis.

Woman: (laughs) Itatanong siguro, "what is your problem in life?"

HD: "Inabuso ka ba ng mga magulang mo?"

Me: (imagines sobbing anti-bodies) Anlaking problema ng antibodies na yan.
